The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that approximately 167,000 pounds of ground beef products have been recalled due to potential E. coli contamination. “Wolverine Packing Co., a Detroit, Mich. establishment, is recalling approximately 167,277 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7,” FSIS announced. 15 illnesses have been identified in Minnesota.
