I have to admit when I wrote about John Fetterman when he was running for Senate, I was pretty brutal.
He certainly has exceeded any possible expectations I could have had for him as a Democrat in the position. I feared a deep progressive. Instead, he has operated at least in his remarks as more of a moderate, pushing for coming together on issues with Republicans, a rare thing it seems these days with most of the Democrats just out of their minds with far-left craziness.
Fetterman even indicated he’s going to be supporting some of President Donald Trump’s nominees for his administration. As we reported earlier, he cosponsored the Laken Riley Act and he indicated he would be voting in favor of Sean Duffy, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Transportation. Duffy’s confirmation hearing will be January 15.
NEW: John Fetterman says if Democrats can’t get 7 votes in the Senate to pass the Laken Riley Act, then “that’s the reason why we lost.”
