Newly confirmed Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Robert Kennedy, Jr., has been assigned the chair of the newly established Make America Healthy Again Commission and, apparently, antidepressants will finally get a much-needed review.

Specifically, Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) long have been the antidepressant “treatment” of choice for numerous alleged mental disorders. That’s right…” alleged.” Let’s just get it straight at the beginning so there’s no mistake about what is and is not being “treated.”

There is no science to support any objective, confirmable abnormality, that is any psychiatric diagnosis. That does not mean that people do not experience depression, anxiety, high and lows, etc. It simply means that psychiatric diagnosing is completely subjective, making it difficult, if not impossible, to realistically “treat” a non-existing abnormality. What is being “treated” is a behavior, which is exactly what psychiatry studies…behaviors. Neurologists, not psychiatrists, study…

Internal Trade Minister Anita Anand says Ottawa will remove more than half of federal internal trade barriers as Canada seeks to boost its economy while facing the prospect of U.S. tariffs. The number of federal exceptions in the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) will be reduced by 20, from 39 to 19. The majority of exceptions removed relate to government procurement, and are meant to provide Canadian businesses with a “greater opportunity to compete across the country,” said a government release. “The removal of these federal exceptions from the CFTA is yet another step towards eliminating barriers to internal trade, reducing costs for Canadian businesses, increasing productivity and foreign investment, and adding billions to the Canadian economy,” Anand said in the Feb. 24 statement. In July 2024, the federal government also announced it was removing or narrowing 17 of its CFTA exceptions, aiming to make it easier to trade within Canada. Italian soccer player collapses on field after attempting to play with head injury

Fiorentina forward Moise Kean was taken to a hospital after he attempted to play despite taking a knee to the head. During a match with Hellas Verona on Sunday, Kean was battling for the ball when he was pushed to the ground by an opposing player. While on the ground, Kean was struck in the head by the knee of oncoming Veronas player Pawel Dawidowicz; Kean immediately fell to his back, holding his face in his hands. According to reports, the Vercelli, Italy, native was treated and then allowed to return to play. However, video later captured Kean stumbling before eventually collapsing on the field as teammates and opposing players urgently called for medical staff to come onto the field. Kean was soon put on a stretcher by a group of paramedics and carried off the field, then was immediately taken to a hospital.
