The actress Sharon Stone has blamed Donald Trump’s stunning election victory on “uneducated” Americans who cannot afford to travel abroad.
Speaking at a press conference at the Torino Film Festival in Italy, Stone went on a rant about how America would soon become like Italy under fascism because of “uneducated” people who voted for Trump.
She explained:
Italy has seen fascism. Italy has seen these things. You guys, you understand what happens. You have seen this before.
My country is in its adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything. Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant, and we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence.
We haven’t seen this before in our country. So Americans who don’t travel, who 80 percent don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naivete.
Stone’s rant then became somewhat incoherent, going off on a tangent about the difference between “good men” and “bad men.”
She consequently urged people to keep their wives and daughters away from men who voted for Donald Trump:
We must say that good men must help good men and those good men must be very aware that a lot of your friends are not good men, and you can’t continue to pretend that your friends are good men when they are not good men.
You must be very clear-minded and understand that your friends who are not good men are dangerous ,violent men, and you have to keep them away from your daughters, wives and your girlfriends.

The comments were made at the Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy.
Stone appeared to compare Trump to Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.

Back in July, the Casino star said she would consider moving to Europe in the event of a Trump victory.
“When we see presidential candidates whose platform is hate, that’s something that I don’t feel our country has faced before,” she said at the time.
“We faced political candidates whose platform was ignorance. But I don’t think we’ve seen political candidates whose outright platform was hatred.”
It remains unclear whether Stone still intends to follow through with the move.
Last week, the disgraced talk show host Ellen DeGeneres confirmed that she had moved to England with her partner.
The pair have reportedly cited Donald Trump’s victory as the reason for their move and insisted they are never coming back.
