Two weeks ago I wrote an article for Human Events titled “The Left must realize that history is turning against the ‘trans’ craze.” My thesis in this article was simple, if the left continues to push the trans agenda, and more specifically in ways that affect children, then our victory in the culture war regarding this issue is imminent. How Long Do Muslims Fast For Ramadan Around The World?

This year’s Ramadan is expected to start on the night of Friday, February 28, with the first day of fasting on Saturday, March 1. As Statista’s Anna Fleck reports, the holy month is based on the Islamic lunar calendar which is 11 days shorter than the Gregorian solar year, and so its start shifts earlier each year. While the number of days of Ramadan are equal for all Muslims observing it around the world, the length of the daily fast is not. This means that those living further north have to fast for much longer than their counterparts living closer to the equator or even to those in the Southern hemisphere, which is currently tilted away from the sun. Trump’s call for a continuing resolution comes as the GOP looks to pass Trump’s agenda with a bill through a process called reconciliation. President Donald Trump has come out in favor of funding the government at current levels ahead of a March 14 deadline. “Joe Biden left us a total MESS. The Budget from last YEAR is still not done. We are working very hard with the House and Senate to pass a clean, temporary government funding Bill (‘CR’) to the end of September. Let’s get it done!” he wrote in a post on Truth Social on Feb. 27. CR stands for continuing resolution, which would fund the government without increasing or decreasing funding for agencies and other government initiatives. Movies That Time Forgot almost never get a second chance, but The Birthday (now streaming on Shudder) is the rare exception. This strange-ass surreal-ass wacko-ass thing from Spanish director Eugenio Mira and starring Corey Feldman (!) originally hit a teeny segment of the festival circuit in 2004. But when producers wouldn’t compromise on a direct-to-DVD release, the film was buried and forgotten for nearly two decades, until Jordan Peele discovered it, screened it for the public and prompted a restoration and a 2024 run at Alamo Drafthouse theaters.
