Stunning Details Revealed On Staffing At DCA Air Traffic Control During Deadly Collision

A quiet evening over Washington, D.C., turned into a national tragedy Wednesday night as a midair collision between an American Airlines regional jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter sent both aircraft plunging into the frigid waters of the Potomac River. The deadly crash near Reagan National Airport claimed 67 lives—the worst such incident since 2001.
President Trump confirmed Thursday morning that there were no survivors aboard American Eagle Flight 5342, which was en route from Wichita, Kansas, with 60 passengers and four crew members. The Army Black Hawk, conducting routine operations in restricted airspace, also went down with its crew.
Recovery efforts were underway as authorities worked in harsh winter conditions to retrieve bodies from the wreckage. Now, troubling new details have emerged about the circumstances leading up to the disaster.
An internal report from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reveals that staffing at the air traffic control tower at Reagan National Airport was “not normal” on the night of the accident. The controller on duty was reportedly handling responsibilities typically divided between two people.

World champion Russian skaters reportedly on plane involved in midair collision

Moscow –
Russian ice skating coaches and former world champions Yevgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov were on board the American Airlines plane that crashed into the Potomac River in Washington on Wednesday night, Russian state media reported.
Shishkova and Naumov, who were married, won the world championship in pairs in 1994 and had reportedly lived in the United States since at least 1998, where they trained young ice skaters.
Their son Maxim, who competed for the United States in singles, was also feared to have been on the plane, Russia’s TASS and RIA news agencies reported. He had been competing at the U.S. figure skating championships, which were held in Wichita, Kansas, from Jan. 20-26, according to the event’s website.
The couple were reported to have been returning from the competition and traveling with a group of young skaters. Russia’s Mash news outlet published a list of 13 skaters, many of them the children of Russian emigres to the United States, who it said were believed to have been on the plane.
Inna Volyanskaya, a former skater who competed for the Soviet Union, was also reported…

Dubai airport clocks record 92.3m passengers, extending hot streak

A record 92.3 million passengers travelled through Dubai’s international airport last year, its operator said on Thursday, extending a post-pandemic tear that exemplifies the city’s economic boom.
The figure surpassed the previous high of 89.1 million in 2018, Dubai Airports said, despite regional tensions caused by the Gaza war and last April’s unprecedented floods that severely disrupted flights.
The United Arab Emirates city, located between Asia, Europe and Africa, has now been ranked as the world’s busiest international air hub for a decade.
Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths said the airport was still profiting from Dubai’s bounce-back from Covid-19, when the city rapidly reopened its doors and the flag-carrying airline, Emirates, was quick to re-activate its fleet.
“We were like a coiled spring ready to respond as soon as the market recovered,” Griffiths told AFP in an interview.
“So we’ve been able to get back to capacity, we’ve been able to encourage new airlines and we’ve seen double-digit growth from most sectors during the course of last year as a result of that.”
The trade, tourism and business centre is also witnessing record…

PC Leader Ford to Honour Ontario’s EV Commitment, Crombie and Stiles Less Definitive

Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford said Thursday he will honour Ontario’s commitment to the burgeoning electric vehicle sector if re-elected, while his main political rivals were less definitive.
U.S. President Donald Trump has said his country does not want or need Canadian cars despite signing a free trade deal with Canada and Mexico in his first term. He has threatened 25 percent across-the-board tariffs on Canadian imports unless border security is improved.
Trump has also made it clear that he’s going after Ontario’s automotive industry, hoping to increase vehicle production at home.
Ford’s government agreed to an auto pact with the federal government in 2023 to pay one-third of production incentives in deals with Volkswagen, as well as Stellantis and LG Energy Solution, for their EV battery plants.
The two governments ponied up the money in order to compete with former U.S. president Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, which included a tax credit for clean vehicle purchases.
Trump has frozen funding under the act and has threatened to end it altogether.

5 Christian Leaders Share Their Thoughts on the American Airlines Plane Crash

Christian leaders called on fellow believers to pray for the grieving families and to refrain from speculation after an American Airlines plane collided with a Black Hawk helicopter in D.C. Wednesday, killing all 67 on board the two craft. The crash involved a regional plane, American Airlines Flight 5342, that was approaching Reagan National Airport (DCA) for landing when it collided with a military Black Hawk helicopter on a training mission. The plane had taken off from Wichita, Kan.
Below are comments from five Christian leaders:
1. Greg Laurie, Author and Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship
“Our hearts are broken for the families who are now facing this devastating loss. Let’s lift up these grieving families in prayer and also remember the first responders, who continue their incredibly difficult task of recovery. In times like this, we often ask, ‘Why did God allow this to happen?’ To that question, I don’t have an answer. But I do know who we can turn to — Jesus. In moments of sorrow and uncertainty, He is our source of comfort, strength, and hope.
“May God bring peace to those who are mourning. And may this tragedy remind us all of the brevity…

Our Emperors Have No Clothes

Thomas DiLorenzo

https://www.lewrockwell.com/lrc-blog/our-emperors-have-no-clothes/

The most hilarious thing about the ongoing confirmation hearings is how spitting mad every Democrat gets whenever a Trump appointee disagrees with the Demo-Bolshevik party/DC establishment party line.  NATO was not responsible for the war in Ukraine, they say.  The CIA and FBI are run by angels, they say.  Big Pharma has no influence, whatsoever, of any kind, on drug policy and especially on the decisions made by members of Congress. members of Congress are not bought off by Big Pharma.  The Hunter Biden laptop was Russian propaganda.  Trump is a Putin puppet.
It is absolutely hilarious to see RFK, Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and others call out these and dozens of other lies that are the whole basis of the power of he Demo-Bolshevik party, such as it is in the age of Trump.  RFK, Jr. even pointed out at his hearing that Bernie Sanders collected more money (millions) from Big Pharma than any other member of Congress from both houses.  Bernie blew his top over that public revelation.
Some of these people have spent decades weaseling their way into Congress because, first and foremost, they want to be dictators and order all of us around like slaves or serfs.  Just when they thought they had finally achieved totalitarian power, along come these people who announce to the entire world watching the confirmation hearings on TV that their questioners are in reality hysterical, comical, ignorant, corrupt, criminal, lying sacks of sh _t.  Take Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, for example.  Please.

Journo Tries Deleting Ugly Post Politicizing DC Crash and Backpedals Like a MOFO, But X Ain’t Havin’ IT – Twitchy

Many, many, MANY Lefties and so-called journalists (same difference) hopped on X the moment they heard about the horrific DC plane crash, NOT to pray for those involved, not to share the story, no no … they hopped on to blame Trump and Pete Hegseth.

They hopped on to politicize a tragedy because that is what our pals on the Left do best.
Welp, it appears one journalist figured out it was stupid to post such political and ignorant things when they were still pulling bodies out of the water, so he deleted it and tried to backpedal.

Deleted an earlier post because it unfortunately was interpreted as blaming tonight’s tragedy on policies in Washington. That was certainly not my intent. As someone who has covered aviation safety for many, many years, I know that you cannot suddenly pull people out of an ATC… https://t.co/pZGst21atK

As you can imagine, X is not exactly…

American Airlines CEO Says It’s Unclear Why Helicopter Came Into Path of Plane Before Midair Collision

The CEO of American Airlines on Thursday said it is not clear why a U.S. Army helicopter came into the path of a PSA regional jet before the two aircraft collided near Washington, an incident that officials say likely left no survivors.
American Airlines CEO Robert Isom, speaking at a Thursday news conference, provided condolences for the more than 60 people who likely died in the incident and said the company is focusing on supporting everyone who was affected.
“We are absolutely heartbroken for the family and loved ones of the passengers and crew members and also for those who were on the military aircraft,” he said.
Later in the news conference, Isom appeared to question why the helicopter was so close to the jet.
“They collided with a military aircraft on an otherwise normal approach. At this time, we don’t know why the military aircraft came into the path of the PSA aircraft,” he said.
The helicopter was flown by a “fairly experienced crew” that was wearing night-vision goggles on an annual proficiency training flight, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said in a video statement.

by Jim Rickards
Out in the New Mexico desert sits a top secret government facility…
The scientists here don’t study deadly viruses… directed energy weapons… or even weather control technology…
They’re studying something far more alien…
Something you’ve never seen before…
A new technology that will change the way wars are fought… against armies and civilians alike.
These scientists believe this technology is for your own good — whether you want it or not.
I know because I recently met with these scientists at their lab…
And the things they showed me…
Once you see this thing for yourself — you’ll know in your heart it could be coming for all of us.
Click here for my latest prediction before it’s taken offline.

P.S. – Do NOT attempt to visit this lab in person, it’s Top Secret… which means it’s likely guarded by the full might of the US Military…
Including machine gun nests, snipers, drones, and even land mines.
I’ve been there — it’s a…
