Brit holidaymaker, 60, mysteriously dies in Costa del Sol hotel he was ‘staying in alone’ as post-mortem launched

A BRITISH holidaymaker has mysteriously died in the Costa del Sol hotel he was reportedly staying in alone.

Cops are investigating after being alerted by staff in the tourist hotspot resort in the town of Fuengirola.

The 60-year-old Brit man had been due to check out of his room at the unnamed hotel on Thursday.

Emergency responders including medical staff scrambled to the scene – but all they could do was tragically confirm his death.

A post-mortem is due to take place on Friday to try and find a cause of death and determine how the police investigation proceeds.

The results of the autopsy will then be sent to a judge placed in charge of the probe.

Well-placed sources said no signs of violence were found in the room or on the dead man’s body signalling a crime had taken place.

The tourist is thought to have been staying in the room alone in the holiday hotspot.

It comes a mere few days after an elderly British woman was found “starved to death” after her carer son died at their Costa del Sol home – a half-hour drive inland from Fuengirola.
