A men’s basketball player for the University of Mobile passed away after collapsing on campus.
Kaiden Francis, a freshman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, collapsed on Tuesday and tragically died Wednesday.
Students and medical professionals attempted to revive Francis, but he never recovered.
The school canceled classes on Wednesday.
A cause of death has not been determined.
“Our hearts are broken at the loss of University of Mobile Men’s Basketball member, Kaiden Francis. We ask that you join us in sending our heartfelt prayers and love to Kaiden’s family and loved ones during this time,” the University of Mobile Rams Athletics wrote.
