There are a lot of things that contributed to the win of President-elect Donald Trump. But one thing that helped was the ability to have freer discussion on X in 2024 than there was on Twitter in 2020 because Elon Musk bought the platform. He wanted to help preserve free speech for what has become the social media “town square” for news and discussion. Then, in the past couple of weeks came the news that MSNBC took a dive in ratings after the election and that Comcast was going to spin it and other networks off into a separate entity called “SpinCo.” That, in turn, raised speculation about the sale and laying off people at MSNBC. Rachel Maddow did reportedly get her salary cut by $5 million. Meanwhile, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski went to speak to President-elect Donald Trump, and that seems to have led to many in their radical leftist audience turning on them and leaving. Quick Fixes For The DOGE

It’s easy to say that stuff has to go. Unfortunately, lots of Swamp critters have burrowed deeply into the muck surrounding the White House. And while Vivek and Elon are really smart, there are a couple of blind spots that can be fixed. Maybe more than a couple… The most obvious is simple. Most people who have reached a degree of education fit for the task of helping out with DOGE are old enough that the 80-hour weeks that Musk and Ramaswamy demand are a problem. I used to work such hours when I was younger in an understaffed hospital Anesthesia department. I definitely fit the IQ requirement they’ve put out, but I no longer have the physical stamina for those long hours. If that requirement were dropped for certain supporting roles, I’d be ready to work. One job I’d volunteer for would be as an idea screener. Suppose that a website was set up to receive ideas for government waste reduction. It would become a portal for suggestions that would then be batted around before massaging them into tight presentations for the big Kahunas. CDC Knew Vaccines Caused Autism

Steve Kirsch reports he has received over 300 pages of documents from someone inside the CDC. Recently, I received a treasure trove of documents from a source inside the CDC showing they’ve known for over 20 years that Wakefield was right: vaccines cause autism. A summary suggest that vaccines can and do cause autism and the CDC has known this for decades. I recently received a treasure trove of electronic documents from deep inside the CDC. These documents have never been made publicly available. The documents include voice-recordings, emails, hand-written notes, diagrams, and data. The often repeated claim that “vaccines don’t cause autism” is quite simply inconsistent with this evidence which can be authenticated. Kirsch has secured copies with friends in case something happens to him and has shared them with a very select few for authentication purposes, so we’ll be waiting on the follow-up. On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher stated that while he’s not a huge fan of President-Elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks, there is bureaucratic bloat and there are “thousands of regulations that do stop people from living lives they could live better and don’t do anything. There is woke in the military,” and “the experts have just sort of, like, let something go, for so long that it’s just sclerotic now and constipated.” Maher said, “The country does need disrupting. The country needs a colonic and a slap in the face so bad. This is not who I would choose to administer the colonic, but it’s not like the bureaucracy isn’t bloated. Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration for attorney general on Thursday. It was an early setback for President-elect Donald Trump that confirms the greatest threat to his agenda isn’t Democrats, but establishment Republicans. Apparently there were at least four GOP senators staunchly opposed to confirming Gaetz as attorney general: Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and John Curtis of Utah. Assuming all Democrat senators voted against him, that would have put Gaetz one vote shy of confirmation. The corporate media, along with a cadre of Never Trump commentators on the right, boasted about the defeat of Gaetz’s nomination, citing widely discredited sexual allegations against him as evidence that he was unfit to lead the Justice Department.
