A federal judge on Tuesday night rejected the sale of Alex Jones’ Infowars platform to satirical news outlet The Onion after Jones claimed that a recent bankruptcy auction was done by illegal collusion.

The Onion was named the winning bidder on November 14^th over a company affiliated with Jones.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez’s decision means Jones can stay at Infowars in Austin, Texas. The Onion was planning on kicking Jones out and relaunching Infowars in January as a parody.

The “moderate Democrat” is like the tooth fairy — a feel-good fantasy you want to believe in but that doesn’t really exist. Many reasonable people got excited when Rep. Seth Moulton’s post-election comments appeared in the New York Times, in which the Massachusetts Democrat and father of “two little girls” said he didn’t want them “getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete.” Moderate Democrats are a relic of the past. A Tom Daschle or Joe Crowley could never get elected under today’s radicalized Democratic umbrella. Yet for merely suggesting that Democrats should shift their messaging on transgenderism, Moulton drew swift condemnation, with Steve Kerrigan, chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic Party, strongly rebuking the congressman’s remarks. His thesis is that Democrats are in real trouble because the only path out of the current quagmire the party is in would be to moderate. But that’s not something the party’s increasingly woke base will allow them to do. The whole essence of woke culture is to make every issue one of moral certitude where no political compromise can intrude. Simply put, they don’t want to talk about it, they want you to comply or else. He opens by noting some survey results that show voters believed Trump was closer to them politically than Harris. Polling suggests that Trump is ideologically closer to the median voter than Kamala Harris. Third Way, a centrist Democratic think tank, conducted a post-election survey asking voters to place themselves, Harris and Trump on a scale ranging from zero (very liberal) to 10 (very conservative). The mean response was 2.45 for Harris, 7.78 for Trump and 5.63 for all voters. DHS Announces New Rule To Allow Noncitizen Workers To Keep Jobs Longer While Awaiting Renewals

Authored by Chase Smith via The Epoch Times, The Department of Homeland Security this week announced a new rule making it easier and more reliable for certain noncitizen workers to keep their jobs while waiting for their work permit renewals to be processed. Starting Jan. 13, eligible applicants who file for their employment authorization documents (EADs) on time will automatically have their work authorization extended for up to 540 days, nearly three times longer than the previous 180-day maximum. The change will retroactively apply to applications filed on or after May 4, 2022, the agency said. DHS said the need for the rule change is “clear” as the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the agency in charge of processing these requests, “received and processed a record number of EAD applications this year.” This permanent change is expected to help workers avoid forced job breaks caused by processing delays and give employers more certainty when planning their staffing needs, DHS said in announcing the changes on Dec. 10.
