This editor didn’t know it until now, but apparently there was a charity record released in 2023 called “Justice for All,” featuring Donald Trump reciting the Pledge of Allegiance interspersed with the J6 Prison Choir, made up of about 20 men imprisoned for their actions on January 6, 2021, singing the National Anthem. Proceeds went to legal aid for the prisoners. Rep. Adam Schiff certainly knew about it, and he knew that Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, had promoted it. Schiff demanded that Patel turn around and look into the eyes of the Capitol Police officers behind him and tell them he was proud of promoting the song. The parents of disgraced former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried are reportedly scheming to get Sam pardoned by President Donald Trump. Stanford Law School Professors Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried reportedly had meetings recently with lawyers and others in Trump’s orbit to have Sam Bankman-Fried receive clemency. Bankman-Fried was sentenced last March to 25 years after being convicted of five counts of conspiracy and two counts of wire fraud. The former CEO of the digital currency exchange FTX has made the case that his sentence was “draconian” as FTX customers have largely recovered most of the money they had lost. Ryan Salame, a former FTX executive who was sentenced to more than seven years in prison, also seeks a pardon. It may also be more difficult for Bankman-Fried to receive clemency, as his parents have reportedly “exploited their access and influence” to make money from FTX. Meta Reaches Multi-Million-Dollar Settlement With Trump Over 2021 Ban

Facebook parent company Meta announced Wednesday that it will be paying $25 million to settle a lawsuit with President Donald Trump, which was brought after he was banned from Facebook and Instagram in the aftermath of the January 6 Capitol protests in 2021. Meta filed notice of the settlement in a federal court in San Francisco on Wednesday, just about four years after the lawsuit was initially brought. Meta spokesman Andy Stone later confirmed that the platform will be paying a total of $25 million to settle the claim, $22 million of which will be going towards a fund for Trump’s future presidential library. The remaining balance will go towards paying legal fees and other plaintiffs in the case. Stone added that the settlement means the company will not have to admit to any wrongdoing. The White House has yet to offer an official comment, though a legal representative told Business Insider that the president signed the settlement in the Oval Office.
