Well, it’s Monday again, and this is a week for thankfulness. We’re thankful for family, friends, our dear Twitchy readers … and that we don’t have to watch Tim Walz prancing around for the next four years.

We’re not thankful for Mondays though, and that’s not going to change. Thankfully, we have memes, jokes, and funny clips to get us through!

Mercari to enhance item verification process to check frauds

Online flea market operator Mercari will enhance its confirmation process for products and expand the range of items for damage compensation, the company announced Monday. The company has been criticized on social media for not responding appropriately to sellers’ complaints that different items from what they sold were returned by buyers. Mercari will set up an item collection center to compare traded merchandise with explanations from both sellers and buyers. It will also build a system equipped with artificial intelligence to detect fraud, and strengthen functions for reporting improper use of its services. “We will realize early solutions of disputes that are hard to settle between customers, by engaging better with them,” a Mercari representative said. Taiwan will deploy four F-16 fighter jets to escort its men’s baseball team back to Taipei on Monday, a day after they won an international tournament in Japan. Playing under the name Chinese Taipei, Taiwan defeated Japan 4-0 in the final of the WBSC Premier12 in Tokyo on Sunday, sparking jubilation on the island of 23 million people where baseball is wildly popular. 1 Dead After Cargo Flight Crashes in Lithuania

Three others were wounded in the incident as the plane slid for more than 100 meters when it attempted to land at an airport in Vilnius. A cargo plane crashed on its approach to an airport in Vilnius and slid into a nearby house, killing at least one person who was aboard the aircraft, Lithuanian officials said on Monday. Three other people on the plane were hurt and no one on the ground suffered any injury, they added. A Lithuanian police spokesperson gave the nationality of the deceased as Spanish, and said the remaining members of the crew were one fellow Spaniard, a German, and a Lithuanian. The cause of the accident is not yet known, but Renatas Požėla, chief of Lithuania’s Fire and Rescue Department, said that the plane skidded for a few hundred meters after hitting the ground, and photos showed smoke billowing into the sky from a damaged dwelling in a wooded area. “Residential infrastructure around the house was on fire, and the house was slightly damaged, but we managed to evacuate people,” he said. Texas Bishop TD Jakes of the Dallas-based megachurch is “recovering well” after suffering a health incident while delivering a Sermon on Sunday. The incident took place after Jakes told the congregation he loved preaching and started to pray before dropping his mic and fell silent, Page Six reported. “Now Lord let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord my strength, and My Redeemer let him go in peace,” Jakes said in his prayer, citing 19:14. We know it’s been bad times for the dead legacy media, but whoo, baby. Even we didn’t know it was this bad. With Thanksgiving just a few days away, America is getting fully ensconced in the Christmas season. One of the hallmarks (pardon the pun) of that season every year is the constant run of Christmas movies on The Hallmark Channel. Most of these movies are generally wholesome and uplifting, if a little bit cheesy and more than a little bit formulaic. (Except for that one with Gary Sinise and Joely Richardson. That one is AWESOME!) So, it is not surprising that Hallmark would see a ratings jump as America looks to them for heartwarming romances and other Christmas-related content. But to jump over not one but TWO cable news channels? That’s got to be pretty humiliating for CNN and MSNBC.
