On Tuesday, May 31 , 6-8pm, Mr. Paul Hager, Libertarian candidate for Indiana Secretary of State, will be at the Brown County Library (205 Locust Ln, Nashville IN 47448) in Room C.

He is a retired computer scientist with the Navy at Crane and has some expertise in cybersecurity. He volunteered to work for Mike Sodrel during the last primary.

‘Last Man Out of Afghanistan’ Has Promotion to Four-Star General Scuttled Over Afghanistan Withdrawal – RedState

Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin has blocked the promotion of the “last US soldier out of Afghanistan” to get his fourth star and become commander of US Army Europe. Lieutenant General Christopher Donahue is currently the commanding general of the Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps and once and future Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Tellingly, his was the only one of nearly 1,000 military promotions not approved as the Senate recessed for Thanksgiving. Someone familiar with the affair confirmed Mullin’s removing Donahue from the promotion list was directly related to Donahue’s role in Afghanistan. About 19 years ago, my wife asked me to come into the bathroom because there was something she wanted to show me. And I refused! No offense, but I don’t wanna see… that. She insisted, so eventually I went in. Turns out, she had just taken a pregnancy test and it was positive with our first kid. (Which was a vaguely important moment in our lives.) Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan signaled on Friday that he is open to a total dismissal of President-elect Donald Trump’s hush money conviction, handing down a ruling that effectively stays the trial indefinitely. CNN reported that Merchan has adjourned a sentencing hearing in the case, the third time he has done so in less than two weeks.
