The Delusional Embrace of Andrew Tate

As we have watched far Left activists engage in the nonsensical debate about what it really means to be a woman, on the Right, we have our own question to answer: What does it mean to be a man?

Over the last several years, men have taken their share of the blame. They have become the prime targets of blame for seemingly every problem and obstacle that America has faced since its inception.

Furthermore, the struggle to define what it means to be a man is more challenging than ever. Today’s young males look around them and see a growing number of their fellow men wearing dresses and makeup or just shirking the protector and provider roles that have generally been expected of them. This has created a widespread feeling of uncertainty amongst the male populace, as they now search for someone to give them permission to be confident in their inherent desire to serve and protect society.

Unfortunately, where there is a growing need, there will be those who are willing to exploit that need and sell their well-branded ideas as a solution to the problem while hiding their self-serving goals.

Enter Andrew Tate and the unfortunate, misguided support he has received from a small handful of popular right-wing figures.

Controversy erupted recently as conservative media personality Benny Johnson hosted a conversation on his channel between himself, Andrew Tate, and Trump’s top legal advisor, Alina Habba.

The viral clip showed Johnson introducing the two guests and Alina responding to Tate’s greeting with, “Nice to meet you. I’m a big fan. A BIG fan.”

This set the conservative side of social media on fire as many shared their concern that this might damage the credibility of the MAGA movement overall. It’s supposed to be a movement that staunchly advocates for Christian values, traditional gender roles, and respectful treatment of men and women.

Tate’s proud declarations of how he has accumulated most of his wealth directly contradict what the Right stands for. He has openly discussed, with an undeniable tone of pride, his manipulation and exploitation of women for his personal gain, and he has done nothing to deny or apologize for his dark past.

While he claims to have left the business of dehumanizing women for money, it appears as though he has altered his business plan to exploit men. Tate has propped himself up with photos that portray his money and expensive lifestyle, promising to share his secrets to wealth and respect. These are two things that he knows men are desperate to acquire as they struggle to deal with the negative views that far too many of the opposite sex have been taught to have of them.

Understandably, many young men seek a place to turn for guidance through such an anti-patriarchal time in history. However, selecting Tate as a mentor and being affirmed in that choice by watching conservative men platform him as a legitimate source of direction is problematic.

In the backlash to Habba gushing over Tate, several right-wing influencers posted their criticisms of anyone claiming to have conservative Christian values and yet believing that Tate serves as a viable source of positive male influence.

“There’s nothing more pathetic than a man who thinks it makes him look tough to brag about choking women and shattering cheekbones before raping them,” noted the Daily Wire’s Megan Basham. “There IS a religion that allows for such ‘masculinity’ but it sure ain’t Christianity.”

Conservatives are known to be the leading defenders of free speech, so many agreed that the problem was not in Johnson’s conversation with Tate. The issue, as the Christian Post put it, is more profound: “Benny Johnson, a prominent conservative commentator who claims to be a Christian … missed an opportunity to challenge the worldview Tate represents and stand for biblical masculinity. Instead, Johnson appeared to elevate Tate as a figure worthy of emulation, focusing on his critique of cultural decay while sidestepping the problematic aspects of his message. This is not merely an oversight — it is a disservice to young men and the Christian community.”

Ben Shapiro echoed the same message, warning other right-wing analysts to be careful about how they align themselves with this known pimp. Shapiro defended the right to interview anyone you choose to but advised all parties involved to make an important distinction: “What’s happening is that people are dishonestly conflating ‘interviewing’ Tate with cheering on Tate — and applauding him, talking about how brave and wondering he is while he rips off thousands of people with his scam Hustlers University and preaches the virtue of treating women in a way you would never allow anyone to treat your wife or daughter.”

This will inevitably create a divide on the Right. Some appear to promote the former kickboxer and online provocateur as an appropriate mentor for today’s men. They see and portray him as someone with an overall positive influence on conservative causes.

Hopefully, the people lining up behind Andrew Tate will have their eyes opened to the increasingly apparent motivations of this man — the pursuit of personal wealth and fame. Encouragement in physical fitness and confidence in masculinity are great goals for men, but that’s not it for manhood. The values and character of the influencer you choose to listen to also matter. Absorbing a worldview that degrades, abuses, and exploits women is truly toxic and will erode the hearts and minds of men.

After all, one look at the fruits of feminism, an ideology that poisons women against men, says it all.
