Trump Mocks Term ‘Sedentary Migrants’ While Listing Waste at CPAC

President Donald Trump mocked the term “sedentary migrants” at CPAC on Saturday, saying, “If they were sedentary, they wouldn’t be a migrant.”

Trump’s analysis of the term at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, drew laughs from the crowd.

“$40 million to improve the social and economic inclusion of sedentary migrants,” Trump said while listing “flagrant scams” U.S. taxpayer dollars have been spent on. “Nobody knows where. Who are they? Where do they come from? Just sedentary migrants. Nobody even knows what a sedentary migrant is.”

“If they were sedentary, they wouldn’t be a migrant, right?” he added to laughs. “They wouldn’t move. No, they wouldn’t move. They’d stay in the same place.”

Trump highlighted a number of other examples of “flagrant scams,” including “environmental, social governance and investments in Africa” and “$25 million to promote biodiversity conservation… in Columbia”

Trump also commended Elon Musk, the CEO of X and an adviser to the president. He said Musk “is doing a great job” as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) roots out “waste,…

As we’ve reported earlier, the Associated Press is butthurt that it’s been barred from Air Force One and the Oval Office for not changing its style guide to refer to the Gulf of America, not the Gulf of Mexico. It may seem petty, but look at all the examples in The Associated Press Stylebook over the pThe Associatedast few years telling its reporters what to say and what to avoid. A couple of years ago, for example, the AP updated its guidelines on the use of “pregnant people” to make it easier to write stories about “people who seek an abortion.” “Except in direct quotations, do not use the terms illegal alien, an illegal, illegals or undocumented,” the AP directed. The AP thinks it’s the only entity that can control thought by controlling the language, so it’s no surprise they’re butthurt of the Gulf of America executive order. Man served fresh warrant over murder, robbery in Osaka Prefecture

Osaka – Japanese police on Sunday served a fresh arrest warrant for a man for alleged murder and robbery in connection with a case in which the dismembered body of a man was found abandoned in Osaka Prefecture recently. The suspect, Hiroto Oki, 28, has remained silent over the murder and robbery allegations, according to the Osaka Prefectural Police Department. After his first arrest on Feb. 3 for allegedly abandoning the body of Takamichi Kamioka, however, Oki told the police that he choked Kamioka to death after the victim came out of his house, investigative sources said. Former US Police Officer Convicted Over Fatal Shooting of New Zealand Man

Former Colorado Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Buen could still serve no prison time for the killing of the 22-year-old New Zealander, who called 911 for help. Former Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Buen has been found guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the death of New Zealand man Christian Glass almost three years ago. He had faced several other charges, including second-degree murder and criminally negligent homicide, but after almost a full day of deliberations, the jury returned a guilty verdict to only the lesser charge. The offence carries a penalty of up to three years in prison, but as Buen is eligible for parole, it’s possible he could serve no prison time. Had he been found guilty of second-degree murder, he could have served up to 48 years. The verdict means he will never again work in law enforcement. The charges arose from an incident in 2022, when a car being driven by 22-year-old Christian Glass, at that time living in Boulder, became stuck on the road.
