When it comes to the White House’s social media staff, that office seems to be like a remote island in 1950 where some soldiers who didn’t realize the war was over still lived.

Canadian’s sense of national pride is on the decline, according to a new survey. Only 34 percent of the country’s citizens say they are ‘very proud’ to be Canadian, dropping 44 percent over the past four decades, the Angus Reid survey found. Seventy-eight percent of those polled by Angus Reid in 1985 said they were “very proud” to be Canadian. This dipped to 52 percent in 2016 and has now fallen another 18 points to 34 percent. “The proportion who say they are either proud or very proud of their nationality has dropped precipitously from 79 percent to 58 percent over the past eight years,” the report on the survey’s findings said. While the majority of Canadians continue to have a “deep attachment” to Canada and what it stands for, that majority has also dwindled significantly, according to the survey. While there was little change in this sentiment between 1991 and 2016, feelings of attachment to Canada have fallen sharply in the past eight years. […]

A federal appeals court has trashed the rules imposed by the Securities and Exchange Commission that required companies to have quotas from various population groups. The latest is the Myth of Recycling, or as John Stossel put it: “the Green Religion” otherwise known as Gaia Worship. I’ve been telling people for years that Recycling is a scam. Recycling is “garbage”, no pun intended…. I have no doubt some people mean well by it, but it simply doesn’t work! Most of it does not end up actually getting recycled and the time, energy and “carbon dioxide” that we put into Recycling is far greater and does far more harm than if we’d simply throw the stuff in the garbage.
